mental toughness & tennis iq are trainable.
Having coached and competed at the junior, college, and professional level, we have a unique perspective on the game both on-court and off it. Dealing with pressure, expectations, and nerves is as much a part of tennis as forehands and backhands. But we believe mental toughness is a skill– something that can be trained and developed with the right guidance and effort. Our mental performance sessions address a variety of common performance issues– anxiety/nerves, loss of focus, emotional regulation, choking, etc. with an aim to equip athletes with the self-awareness and "mental toolbox" to handle every challenge they are faced with.
Supplementarily, watching match film is one of the best ways to identify points of weakness, strength, and increase overall tactical IQ... but only if you know what to look for. By re-watching matches alongside players, we're able to re-live and talk through situations and decisions as well as monitor training progress translating to the match court.
learn how to play the right way.
Here's the harsh truth– tennis isn't a sport you pick up quickly. And while there are always hacks to make you better in the short-term, every shortcut eventually meets its ceiling– and nothing is more frustrating than stalled progress and wasted time un-training bad habits.
Unlike traditional private lessons where time constraints only allow for a handful of drills, our player analysis consists of an in-depth search for mechanical inefficiencies within each stroke. Based on our findings, we provide technical corrections and drill recommendations. Additionally, our virtual match-play analysis allows us to assess gamestyle and tactical issues and/or trends.
Our goal isn't to make you better in an hour, it's to teach you how to teach yourself to get better. Then the HOURS are up to you.
off-court can be just as important as on.
Tennis is a skill-game– with enough intentional repetition, eventually you'll get pretty good at hitting the ball. But the higher you go, what separates good from great starts to be what happens in between strokes– court coverage, speed out of corners, legs deep in the third set.
Tennis is one of the most athletic, physically demanding sports on the planet. From injury prevention to extra MPH on your forehand, elite strength & conditioning is mandatory for success.
tennis is a
team sport.
Ever notice when the pros give their trophy ceremony speeches, they always use the word "We"? That's because you might hit the balls alone, but tournaments are played well beyond the match court. Every great player has eyes, help, and guidance to navigate the tennis, the fitness, the mental, and the scheduling. It ain't just about forehands and backhands!
Our secret weapon? We’ve done this. In fact, we’re still doing it. We’ve played thousands of matches and encountered every situation tennis has to offer– both on-court and off. And that means we can relate to each player (and parent) on the most personal level– because we’re going through it right with them.
